Day three of our Odyssey 2012 found us in Lafayette Cemetery ( would you expect anything else?) And the Garden District, touring the area learning all about the architecture of this very old US settlement. So many beautiful homes and stories to go with them.
After a great lunch where I had the roast beef po-boy and Ed had the shrimp po-boy, we were back on the road. The road to Texas. My best friend moved away five years ago and with the exception of the night last spring when he came to pick up his new car from me, I haven't seen him. We spent a great night with him and his beautiful wife, having a traditional tex-mex meal out and exciting conversation back at their place until the very late hours.
We've now left Jon and Stephanie and traveled North/West to Waco Texas where we are meeting an other old friend for dinner.
It's turning out to be a wonderful trip.
