Light Show

I know that it can be really scary to get what you want sometimes.
So scary, in fact, that we won't do it.
How do we get over that obstacle?
Make the stakes incredibly high.
Like the kind of high stakes that make news headlines.
So early this morning before the sun came up,
as I walked Pugsley in the cool 81 degree night time air,
I spied a shooting star.
It shot right through the big dipper, streaking through the sky from east to west. It glowed for what seemed like a long while, but I'm sure it was just a few seconds.
You bet, I made a wish.
I'm sure you'll see the headlines soon.
Keep an eye out for your own shooting star.
I'll be waiting to see your headlines.

I love those shooting stars, they do seem to last forever... of course I make a wish on them too :)

I hope you get your wish. Whatever it was.

I never know what to wish for when I get that sort of chance. There are lots of things that would be useful. (bit extra cash, car to be slightly more reliable, that kind of thing) But there's nothing I actually NEED that I don't already have. So I end up being negative and hoping not to lose what I have. Or not wishing at all. Just admiring something beautiful like a shooting star.

Oh, magic. But aren't you supposed to catch a shooting star and put it in your pocket?

My wishes are not typically something physically tangible.
Think greater. A little more Epic!
Like, change the world kind of stuff.
A little something for everyone.

Your post was like a poem. Beautiful.
I'm in bed by the time the stars come out.

Every time they say there's going to be a meteor shower, we seem to have clouds. I got lucky with even spotting this one. It was about 3:30am. Right conditions and timing for once.
