Holiday Remembrance

Dad at the park, remembering Mom.
The holidays are upon us and it can be a very joyful time of year. Some of us have problems during the holidays and sometimes are overcome with great sadness when we remember the loved ones who are not with us. And, many people have no one to spend these times with and are besieged by loneliness. We all need caring thoughts and loving prayer right now. Give a moment of support to all those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune.
 Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Yes I so agree with you Stew....no one is immune to loneliness and sadness...we all have to make the best of what is laid out in front of us!

So very true indeed! We need to be sensitive to say a kind word, extend an invitation perhaps, at least a smile and a touch; I do know holidays can be so very hard for so many reasons.

Enjoy the day!

how did i miss this?
oh well, i'm here now.

i love this time of year...the chill..the bare trees...the nakedness of the land...the relaxing twinkle lights, but it also makes me sad at the same time. i tend to think more of those who i've lost. i dream of them. i feel them closer to me. and THAT kind of brings it all full circle.

thanks for all your kindness...and insight, stew! =)
