New summer friends

Summer!
At last!
It's 6 am and it's already 80 degrees. The sun just came up. It's a huge glowing orange ball in the Eastern sky casting it's morning glow across our little patch of the world. There's not a cloud in the sky, I just got off work and now I have to get ready for the other work. They're calling for mid 90's today. I love summer. It could be like this every day and I'd be happy.  I just wish that I didn't have to wear a black suit and tie and stand on the hot black-top parking lot. I'd much rather be lounging along with these garden frogs in the warmth of the summer sun.

We have quite the little oasis here at our little place in the burbs. While none of our neighbors have much to speak of in the line of landscaping, we have trees, shrubs and plants galore. We attract all sorts of wildlife to our tiny plot of land. Quite often we'll have rabbits and so many birds. But yesterday, we welcomed a new addition to our family. We have noticed Pugsley snooping around in the garden around the foundation of the house lately and didn't know what he was up to. Until Ed went out yesterday and found this little guy hanging out on the lawn. It appears that he's taken up residence. Since Pugs grew up with a rabbit as a brother, he only wants to play with this new friend and the rabbit doesn't seem to mind. I think that they've probably been friends for a while now. But like all children, Pugsley doesn't tell me everything.
I think we'll call him Mr. Hide because he likes to hide just under those ferns whenever Ed or I get to close.

Any other ideas what we should name our new friend?

How about 'Bugsey'.....then you'll have Pugsley and Bugsey!

Nice that they get along. I don't think Sophie would quite know what to do with a rabbit.

I like Bugsey like Jim said. What a cute little friend to have around!! Wow, that is summer heat!! We are closer to the ocean so it doesn't get quite that hot, but I have lived before where it has been that hot and while I do like it, it can be a bit taxing at times! Stay well hydrated!

How wonderful that the wildlife is there with you.
Mr. Hide........ well, I like it. I have a cat named Mr. Smith and another cat named Mr. Worm.
Before you know it, Puglsey and Mr. Hide will be the best of buddies.

I love the name Mr. Hide. I love that you have a dog that befriends bunnies instead of eating them. I do the bunnies.
Glad you like the heat, I send some up your way right away-lol!
Hope you have a good week!

Holding true to Michigan weather, when it gets hot, storms pop up and surprise you. Almost on cue as we brought the casket out of the ceremony. Quite refreshing, really.

I call him Gorgeous! He's a little darling and I'm glad he's not afraid of Pugsley.

I love Michigan summers! It is such a relief since Dallas is having its second hottest summer ever! This 70-80 degree temps are great!
